I’m writing to voice my support for Jetta Investment Company’s (JIC) plan for 105 NW 5th Avenue, which seeks to expand affordable housing, preserve the history of the Kemp building, and revitalize this part of the historic 5th Ave.

JIC is prepared to invest over $500,000 to add 7 more Multi-Tenant Housing Units (MTHUS), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a communal space, an elevator, and upgrade the Kemp Building to make more affordable housing available for the community. They also plan to memorialize and preserve the history of the building and its founder, Thomas Kemp, Jr., a local Delray Beach, FL businessman and entrepreneur from The Set. Lastly, JIC plans to bring a minority-owned small business to the commercial space on 5th Avenue with services that appeal to the local community and adds value to this historic neighborhood.

For all of these reasons, I support JIC’s plans and likewise urge you to vote "Yes" in support of it when it comes before you.
